The New Heart – 3

A heart at peace gives life to the body … Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning.

My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king …

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.

The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Good people bring good things out of the good stored up in them.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Those who have clean hands and a pure heart.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

This is the way of the cross; a life of transformation and rebirth. Only by walking this narrow and lovely path can we come to understand a little of how much Father loves us in sending his only Son to live and walk among us and die on a cross. But this is only another beginning of walking further up and further into Love through His resurrection. Thank you for pulling these themes together.
