Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory. … It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. … Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers. … The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.

They have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me. … I will sing a new song to you, my God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you, to the One who gives victory. … Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.

For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. … Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! … With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. … You give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. … May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.

After reading each devotional, I save it to my folder.

Doctor Nordling’s last wife, Katherine, died yesterday in Asheville.
We did not care for Doctor Nordling. He had caused great physical harm to Katherine, a dear Swain County girl. And caused family and friends much hurt! But Katherine was a dear friend! And was raised in a fine Christian Family!

So sorry to hear all this. I knew none of it. So, I’ll be praying for good bye grace for all who remain and a glorious reunion when we’re all in glory.
