Sermon – “Why ADHD Doesn’t Mean Disaster”

As I mentioned in our family newsletter for February, I had the privilege of being asked to preach on the topic of “Why ADHD Doesn’t Mean Disaster” at the Fallbrook Baptist Church in Houston, TX, last month. You can now listen to this 30 minute sermon here.

Founding and Senior Pastor, Michael Pender, as well as Executive Pastor, Olus Holder, made me feel more than welcome, as did the over 4000 attendees who packed the two morning services. A picture of the sanctuary can be seen here.

The reason for this unusual sermon, is that the church has begun a charter school and become aware of a number of issues that are critical for parents and educators, including ADHD. You can hear my sermon here. You can also hear other sermons in this “Getting Better in Parenting” series here.

The sermon was based upon a book I co-wrote with Dennis Swanburg and Diane Passno, Why ADHD Doesn’t Mean Disaster. While supplies last, you can order autographed copies here.
