Vitamin C may boost the immune system and is critical for maintaining healthy connective tissue, but do you need to take a supplement and, if so, how do you find one that is right for you and at the best price?
ConsumerLab.com recently tested dozens of vitamin C supplements for both adults and children.
Products were tested to determine if the amount of vitamin C was correct as labeled and if tablets properly disintegrated to release their ingredients.
Many high quality products were identified, although the cost of obtaining an equivalent amount (500 mg) of vitamin C was found to range from as little as 1 cent to over 2 dollars.
