The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. … In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye, like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. The Lord alone led him; no foreign god was with him.

Give me wisdom and knowledge. … This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name. … He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. … And the name of the city from that time on will be: the Lord is there.

“The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,” says the Lord Almighty. “And in this place I will grant peace,” declares the Lord Almighty. … Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. … For great is the Holy One of Israel among you. … You are among us, Lord, and we bear your name. … I will write on them the name of my God; and I will also write on them my new name.
