Old Men

Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.

Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father.

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come … Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness … The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old … Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”

Praise the LORD from the earth … old men and children. Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted … With whom will you compare me or count me equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?
