Love each other as I have loved you

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. … This is my command: Love each other. … Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. … The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. … We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. … Follow the way of love … Do everything in love.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” … Walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
