So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
The righteous are as bold as a lion. … Those who feared the LORD and honored his name. … Pure in heart. … Always generous and lend freely. … Upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commandments and regulations blamelessly. … They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
The righteous will live by his faith. … Poor in spirit. … Humble and contrite in spirit. … a devout observer of the law and highly respected by all. … called, chosen and faithful. … Devout and Godfearing; gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. … Faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. … Led by the Spirit of God. … Wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. … His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
