Sudden cardiac death isn’t exactly a fun topic. It occurs when the heart unexpectedly stops beating, and death occurs within minutes. But, here’s some news to prevent this tragedy. Researchers have found who has the greatest risk of the condition. And this may help you prevent it.
People with the highest risk have:
- high blood pressure,
- an increased baseline heart rate, and/or
- a high body mass index.
Now don’t stop monitoring other factors like your cholesterol and blood sugar, but don’t forget watching your weight, resting heart rate, and blood pressure.
One way help all of these factors is a regular exercise program. And see your doctor for regular check ups — don’t be the next surprise victim.
