Being an untrained writer, I depend upon a couple of software programs to help me edit (ProWriting Aid, and Grammarly). I’ve used Grammarly since April 19, 2017, and in the span of the last 39 months they say that the total number of words they’ve checked is 3,627,657. That’s over 93,000 words a month. I thought that was a lot, until they told me that just last week (which was a heavy writing week in that I was editing my second Kissimmee book, tentatively titled, “Palm Tree Physician: More Life Lessons from a Small-Town Doctor in Old Florida”), they checked 124,410 words I had written! At an average of 250 words per double-spaced page, that means I edited almost 500 pages last week. I need a break!!!
