Pride – 6

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.

Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. … They scoff, and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Rise up, O Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve. … Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled).

Walt, I am in the midst of huge personal struggles tonight and your message really is speaking to my heart. I have been betrayed and it hurts deep down in my gut.
I have seen the goodness of God in this land of the living and I know He will never let me down…I may fall but it want be headlong because I know who holds my hand! He has been faithful to me. I am I’m so thrilled about our CCC (CRU) reunion in September. Lord willing we will have good attendance. Don and Mary Tabb have changed their trip to China so they could be with us Please pray for me.

      Hilda,

Delighted and honored to lift on your behalf. One correction, however, these are not my messages, but God’s words. There’s, as you know, an amazing and powerful difference between the “message of mankind” and the “message of God,” eh? Will look forward to seeing you this fall. In fact, I’m with Jane Alexander Daniel and her husband in Washington right now. Jane was on CCC staff in those days, will be at the reunion, and will be staying with the Tabbs.

Blessings, my friend. Then journey is not meant to be easy, but it is meant to never one we travel alone.

      Praying …

      Walt
