God’s Word

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. … Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. … I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. … I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. … I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word. … The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold. … I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life. … I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

My comfort in my suffering is this: our promise preserves my life. … My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. … Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

I believe in Psalm 119:50 that “Y” was left off “our”. It should read … “Your promise preserves my life.” Thank You, Father for Your promises.

Thank you for the new format. The blue background makes your meditation so much easier to read. We appreciate these daily readings. God bless you greatly.
