Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants

This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One: “I am the Lord your God, who directs you in the way you should go. … For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. … Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” … “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. … But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead. … So in Christ all will be made alive. … Death has been swallowed up in victory. … Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. … He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces. The Lord has spoken.
