Planned Parenthood Blasts Bush Rule to Help Pro-Life Doctors on Abortion is reporting that Planned Parenthood is attacking a Bush administration plan to help pro-life doctors. The tentative rule would ensure pro-life physicians, nurses and other medical personnel don’t face hiring discrimination if they refuse to be involved in abortions.
My Take?
Almost always, if Planned Parenthood is against it, it’s good for women and their unborn children. In this case, it’s good for healthcare professionals.
Although Planned Parenthood touts abortion as a voluntary choice, Cecile Richards, the president of the abortion business, attacked the proposal to help healthcare professionals avoid abortion coercion.
According to LifeNews, “While Planned Parenthood wants to force medical professionals to be involved in abortions and punish them when they don’t, Wendy Wright, the president of Concerned Women for America, tells the proposed rule is a good one.”
“‘For over 35 years, federal laws have protected the conscientious rights of healthcare professionals, but they were not fully implemented for lack of thorough regulations to enforce them,’ she explains.
“’As more controversial drugs and procedures get introduced, and additional pressure is put on healthcare providers to either compromise their moral commitments or lose their jobs, the need has become greater for regulations to catch up with the law,’ she said.”
From my perspective, this opposition reveals Planned Parenthood’s amazing hypocrisy.
Clearly, those favoring the murder of unborn children do not believe in the “right to choose” when it comes to healthcare professionals who choose not to participate in abortion or provide drugs that can take the life of a innocent human being.
