Monday Memo – Want to read “Best Medicine” before anyone else?

My first book about my practice years in Kissimmee, Florida (1985-2001), “Best Medicine: Tales of Humor and Hope from a Small-Town Doctor” is being released by Baker/Revell on October 6. If you’d like to read a free early electronic release read on!

Pre-order the book here

“Left Behind” author Jerry Jenkins wrote a wonderful Foreword. Billy Graham’s daughter, Ruth, wrote an amazing endorsement. To receive your free copy, you’ll need to sign up to be on my Launch Team to let others know about it. It’s actually easy peasy.

    1. Read an early release e-copy of the book that will be emailed to you in late August or September. You can even skim read it if you want.
    2. Then you must write a short review (just a few sentences of your opinion about the book) and post it on three or four websites such as Amazon, GoodReads, Barnes and Noble, and Christian Book Distributors.
    3. You can even post the same review on each site (which makes your assignment even easier.
    4. Easy instructions on how to do this will be provided later.
Optional items that you may voluntarily do that will be very helpful to me include:
1) Share your review and thoughts via social media
2) Share your review and thoughts via email to family, friends, and your faith community
3) Encourage as many folks as possible among your family, friends, and/or faith community, to either preorder the book on Amazon or buy it on the day of release on Amazon.

I’m also hoping to set up some Zoom type calls where I’ll be interviewing main characters in the book that are still alive and you’ll be able to ask them questions. That should be a ton of fun.

If you’re interested, let me know ASAP by emailing me at, and I’ll send along the details.
