Loneliness

Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. … This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. … I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. … I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

A time is coming when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
