1) Calling All “Bryson City” Fans – Join an Exclusive Club

Covers from my three Bryson City books

Of my 33 books, by far the most popular (and best-selling) are the three from my medical practice years (1981-1985) in Bryson City, North Carolina (Bryson City TalesSeasons, and Secrets). Many have requested I write about my days of practice in Kissimmee. Well, I have great news for you.

I’m excited to tell you that I’m releasing the first of two books about Kissimmee called “The Best Medicine: Tales of Humor and Hope from a Small-Town Doctor” in September 2020.

I wanted you to be that I’m putting together a book launch team called “Kissimmee Kowboys.”  If you’d like to help me tell other people about “The Best Medicine,” I’d love to have you join the team. Here are some of the exciting benefits you’ll receive:

    • Be a member of a private Facebook page with me

One of my heroes in the new book is rancher Geech Partin. His wife, Connie, was an artist and painted a fresco of Geech and his livestock on the shores of Lake Toho on the plaster wall of their dining room. Pictures from that fresco have been patched together into a working draft of a cover for the new book.

2) Chris Fabry Live Radio Program

I was honored to “spend an hour” with my friend, Chris Fabry, on his nationally-broadcast Moody Radio program, “Chris Fabry Live,” on December 3, 2019. We discussed my most recent book, Fit over 50: Make Simple Choices Today for a Healthier, Happier You, and took questions from callers. Here is a link to the program (or click here). You can click on “Listen” to hear the audio. Let me know what you think.

3) Christian Doctors’ Digest

I was also honored to “spend some time” with my friend, Mike Chupp, MD, the new CEO of the Christian Medical Association, as we discussed my newest book, Fit over 50: Make Simple Choices Today for a Healthier, Happier You on his Christian Doctors’ Digest.
