Ginger for pain relief? Maybe!

Ginger is now showing up in many supplements used for pain relief … Pain Rx, Arthritis Rub, Minor Pain Relief, Gingerflex Natural Joint Pain Relief, and many others.

I usually think of ginger for stomach upset and nausea.

But, according to the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database, “ginger might also have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.”

NMCD says, “Some ginger extracts can modestly reduce pain and stiffness from osteoarthritis of the knee; however, ginger is not fast acting. It can take several weeks for noticeable improvement.”
