‘Big Breakfast’ Diet Helps Shed Pounds

WebMD is reporting a study showing that eating a 600-calorie breakfast rich in carbohydrates and protein helps dieters lose more weight long term than eating a modest breakfast and following a lower-carb eating plan.

My Take?

This study just backs what we’ve known for many years – that breakfast and weight loss are linked.

One of my professors used to prescribe what she called “The Royal Diet”: Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen, and supper like a pauper.

“The Big Breakfast Diet,” like “The Royal Diet,” helps people feel less hungry before lunch and all day.
